NFL Draft: Eagles can own #1 overall pick after this weekend

As the Eagles’ miserable season continues, many have turned their attention towards the 2022 NFL draft.
Philly currently holds three picks in the top-15, owning the Dolphins’ and Colts’ respective picks in addition to their own. Miami has been downright abysmal this season regardless of who their quarterback is. As long as Wentz continues to stay upright, he’ll clear his snap requirements for the Eagles’ conditional pick.

The city of Philadelphia is no stranger to tanking, and they may be enduring it once again with their football team.
If the Eagles lose this Sunday to the winless Detroit Lions and Miami loses to the Bills (likely), then Philadelphia will hold the #1 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft — at least for a week.
In this scenario, Miami and Detroit would both hold 1-7 records. Therefore, the Dolphins would likely have the higher point differential if they lose their game, giving them the higher pick as a result.
Winning games should always be the primary focus of any organization; I’m simply stating that if the Eagles continue to lose — there are worse things that could happen than holding the top overall pick.
After Sirianni’s flower metaphors during today’s press conference, it wouldn’t surprise me if the fans started looking up mock drafts early. Kayvon Thibodeaux anyone?
Started to take a deeper look at this year’s draft class and boy, this is not a very exciting year if you need a QB.

Kenny Pickett and Matt Corral are intriguing but I’m not sure what they’ll be at the NFL level.
Eagles better off loading up on defense.
