NFL Trade Deadline: Eagles acquire cornerback at the buzzer

Just when we thought the Eagles would stay quiet at the deadline, they sneak a deal in like they always do.
Per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Eagles have acquired rookie CB Kary Vincent Jr. in exchange for a 2022 sixth-round pick:
Trade! The #Broncos are sending rookie CB Kary Vincent Jr. to the #Eagles for a 2022 sixth-round pick, per sources. They beat the 4 p.m. ET buzzer.

Vincent was a 7th-round selection in last year’s draft out of LSU. The Eagles now have three rookie CBs on the roster, drafting Zech McPhearson in the 4th-round and acquiring Tay Gowan in the Zach Ertz trade.
Much like Gowan, Vincent was good value in the draft, some having him as high as a 4th-round grade. A bit undersized at 5’10”, 185 lbs, Vincent projects as a slot corner and could be solid depth behind Avonte Maddox. What Vincent lacks in size, he makes up for in athleticism and ball skills.
Vincent recorded 87 total tackles, six interceptions, and 15 pass breakups before opting out of the 2020 season.
The Eagles have released T/G Brett Toth in a corresponding move.
