The Liberty Yell Wednesday Night NHL picks via Parx Sportsbook

Tonight is Wednesday, which means primetime NHL hockey will be on TNT and we have made our picks. This our first official “TLY Parlay” on record and it’s coming straight from the two of us. We aren’t betting experts, but tonight we have a four-game slate and we took action in every single one of them; here’s why.
8:30PM: CAR Hurricanes (-155) @ CHI Blackhawks (+128)
Our pick on Parx Sportsbook: CAR Moneyline (-155)
Chicago just got Patrick Kane from injury and last game he put up 4 points in his return. Despite the boost to the Blackhawks’ lineup, the Carolina Hurricanes are on a completely different level this season.
Carolina is 8-0-0 with a goal differential of +21. They play a complete game in all ends of the ice and have plenty of fire power to burn you at every level. Frederik Andersen has been money since joining Carolina and has a perfect 7-0-0 record. Chicago is a top-heavy team and Carolina is exactly the kind of team to finish you with mismatches.
8:30PM: NSH Predators (+195) @ EDM Oilers (-245)
Our pick on Parx Sportsbook: EDM Moneyline (-245)
Now I know there isn’t a lot of value in this pick, but Edmonton is playing some of their best hockey ever within their current core and look to keep it rolling at home. Connor McDavid and Leon Draisatil both come into this game with 17 points in only 8 games which is unbelievable and most likely historic.
New addition Zach Hyman is tearing it up and adding a gritty element to the team and their team defense has actually held up. Edmonton is ranked 3rd in goals per game and 12th in goals against per game.
Nashville comes into this game on the second half of a back-to-back after a huge win against Calgary. They are already 5-4-0 and have been quite mediocre. All signs point to an Edmonton win to me with Nashville having some tired legs after a energetic win.
9PM: CBJ Blue Jackets (+150) @ COL Avalanche (-186)
Our pick on Parx Sportsbook: CBJ +1.5 (-162)
This pick is without a doubt are riskiest one of the night. Columbus has not been that good on the road and the Avalanche are seeming to be on the upward trend; winning their last two. Columbus doesn’t have a ton of star power but rather win through team play. Columbus goalie Elvis Merzlikins boasts a 4-1-0 record and always keeps Columbus in games. Korpisalo received the nod in this game though, he’s also been great.
While the Avalanche have been playing great hockey as of late, we’re banking on Columbus keeping the game close like the always do with the help of their goaltending. Coloardo has been stymied and beaten on multiple occasations this year so hopefully Columbus keeps this one close like they can.
10PM: STL Blues (-152) @ LA Kings (+125)
Our pick on Parx Sportsbook: STL Moneyline (-152)
The Blues have been one of the best western conference teams to start this season and lead their division with a record of 6-1-0. After getting Vladimir Tarasenko back from injury this season the Blues are shaping right back into form. Tarasenko has 9 points in 7 games, and goaltender Jordan Binnington has a 5-1-0 record with a .926 SV%.
Compare that to the 3-5-1 Kings with the 29th ranked penalty kill in the league and the choice becomes clear. These two teams have also faced off twice already this season, with STL taking both contests (3-0, 7-3).
