Tobias Harris tests positive for COVID-19, ruled out for next ten days

After being ruled out due to the NBA’s health and safety protocol, Tobias Harris has officially tested positive for COVID-19, according to Keith Pompey. Harris is out for at least the next ten days per league rules and will remain in quarantine. The 76ers forward is vaccinated, so hopefully, he can make a quick and full recovery.
The Sixers are headed into a tough stretch over the next few weeks and will struggle without one of their leaders on the court. It’s unclear when the ten days started, but if it’s today, here are the upcoming games that Tobias Harris will miss.
- vs. Chicago Bulls
- @ Detroit Pistons
- @ Chicago Bulls
- vs. New York Knicks
- vs. Milwaukee Bucks
- vs. Toronto Raptors
- @ Indiana Pacers
That is five games against likely playoff teams without two of the 76ers’ stars. With the great start to the season this team has had, losing Tobias Harris is such a tough blow. Several vaccinated players have been placed in protocols in the last few days, including Kevin Love and Lauri Markkanen of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Philadelphia is back in action tonight against the Chicago Bulls. After resting against Portland, Joel Embiid should be ready to go against the best team in the Eastern Conference.
