Eagles bring back Brett Toth to the practice squad, waive cornerback

After being let go to bring in Kary Vincent Jr., the Eagles have brought back tackle Brett Toth via the practice squad. Toth has been a solid depth piece for the Eagles’ offensive line but is currently best suited for the practice squad. To make room for Toth, the Eagles let go of cornerback Craig James.

With Andre Dillard and Jack Driscoll available to play tackle, the move to send Toth down makes sense. Philadelphia needs more depth at cornerback and other positions far more currently but keeping Brett Toth around is beneficial to the future of this line.

For Craig James, his lackluster performance alongside the additions of Vincent Jr. and Tay Gowan left him as the odd man out. The Eagles are banged up, so if they need a body, there’s a chance James returns, but it doesn’t seem likely at the moment.
