Matisse Thybulle enters NBA Health and Safety protocols, out against Bulls

The 76ers COVID-19 problems continue. Just now, it was announced that Matisse Thybulle has entered the NBA’s Health and Safety protocols and is out tomorrow against the Chicago Bulls. Thybulle is the third 76er to enter in the last week, joining Tobias Harris and Isaiah Joe. There is no word yet if this resulted from a positive test or just a close contact.
After Joe was placed in protocols on Thursday, Philadelphia had the entire team tested, but despite a high vaccination rate, several players are still out. The Sixers are very thin on depth for their crucial road trip, with Furkan Korkmaz and Danny Green likely out alongside these three and Ben Simmons. Hopefully, all is well with Matisse Thybulle and if he does test positive, he makes a full and speedy recovery.
Just eight Sixers played against the Detroit Pistons last night, and it’s going to be another short bench for tomorrow night. The Sixers have three games against the Bulls, Knicks, and Bucks in the next four days, so it could be a big slide after a successful start.
