Coming officially from the Flyers’ public relations staff this afternoon, 2021 second-round pick Samu Tuomaala has been demoted to the Finnish Liiga and the Flyers have recalled Nick Seeler.

The Flyers have loaned forward Samu Tuomaala from the Phantoms to Karpat of the Finnish Liiga.
Injury updates were also given on Ryan Ellis and Kevin Hayes. Ellis was given an outside chance on playing Wednesday while Kevin Hayes could return as early as next Tuesday. Both players hit the ice today for practice and Ellis said in his press conference he felt good and it would be up to the coaches to decide his status.
Earliest Kevin Hayes could be back is Tuesday next week, per Alain Vigneault.

Ryan Ellis has chance to play Wednesday.
The Nick Seeler move was always meant as a paper transaction and now him being recalled today proves that.
Samu Tuomaala is where things get interesting. He goes from the Phantoms (AHL) to Karpat (Finnish Liiga) in a move I wholeheartedly agree with. Tuomaala wasn’t getting the proper playing time he needed in the AHL and spent most of his time in the press box. Being able to get big minutes in the Finnish Liiga while removing himself from that bad situation in Lehigh should be beneficial for his development.
Update on Wade Allison and Samuel Morin:
“Both continue to rehab. Return to play is TBD.”

[…] Ryan Ellis can slot back into the lineup soon and provide some more stability. This lies on the offense […]
