Parx Sportsbook Odds Boosts for CBB Opening Night and 76ers/Bucks

Another day, another slate of odds boosts from our partners over at Parx Sportsbook. After months of waiting, college basketball is finally back, and there are some odds boosts tonight that you don’t want to miss out on. If college basketball isn’t your thing, there’s an interesting 76ers boost that I would keep your eye on for tonight.
76ers to score 107+ points against Bucks (Boosted from -115 to +110)
While I don’t think the 76ers will come away with a win tonight against the Bucks, dropping 107 points should be easy for this COVID-riddled team. Seven of Milwaukee’s ten opponents this season have scored 107 or more points this season. Philadelphia had an off night against the Knicks and still scored 96 points.
The 76ers bench was just 1/8 from deep while Seth Curry and Danny Green were only 4/14. Milwaukee is missing defense with Khris Middleton out, and all it takes is an average night from beyond the arc from the 76ers for this to hit.
Villanova to win against Mt. St. Mary’s (Boosted from -20000 to +100)
This bet is free money if I have ever seen it, my goodness. Villanova is ranked fourth in the nation coming into this season, while Mt. St. Mary’s had just a 12-11 record last season with no significant wins. If you’re listening to the game on your way home, tune into our friends at FOX Sports the Gambler for their pre-game, halftime, and postgame shows this season.
The last time these two faced off in 2017, Nova won by 20 points in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Mount was 20-16 and had an outstanding year for a team of their caliber during that season. So Nova, who is just as good, is going up against a team that is worse than when they beat them by 20 points.
There’s a reason these odds were practically non-existent before this boost, and I would put every dollar I have on Nova pulling in this season opener. That is how confident I am in a win tonight. If you’re feeling extra optimistic about Villanova, Parx also has a boost on the Wildcats winning it all at +1300 (previously +1000) and +100 to win the Big East (previously -155).
Duke to score 75+ and beat Kentucky: (Boosted from +200 to +250)
A rivalry as old as time. The Blue Devils are entering the season ranked 9th in the nation, just one spot ahead of the Wildcats at 10. It could be a storybook season for the Blue Devils, who enter Mike Krzyzewski’s final season as their head coach. Duke has won three of the four matchups between these two teams in the last 20 seasons.
Duke has scored over 75 points in three of those matchups, scoring 118 in their most recent battle in 2018. The Blue Devils aren’t as loaded as in years past, but you can never count out Coach K. No matter what, it’s going to be a close one, so while I don’t love it, it could be easy money to start the season.
Michigan State to cover +4 points & under 142 total vs. Kansas (Boosted from +260 to +320)
MSU is coming into this game as big underdogs against the Jayhawks. Kansas is ranked third in the nation, while Michigan State is sitting just outside the top 25. I don’t see this one being a low-scoring game regardless and think Kansas will blow them out of the water. You can’t win every boost, and I’d personally stay away from this one unless you’re a big Michigan State fan.
