3 Phillies Prospects Named to the Arizona Fall League 2021 Fall Stars Game

Multiple Phillies prospects have been taking part in the Arizona Fall League, getting some extra reps to try and get themselves ready for the big leagues. Just a little bit ago, three of the Phillies’ prospects taking part were named to the 2021 Fall Stars Game, recognizing the best players in the AFL this season. Those players were Bryson Stott, Logan O’Hoppe, and Damon Jones.
Bryson Stott, the Phillies #2 prospect, has been tearing up the Arizona Fall League and giving Phillies fans a glimpse of hope for the future. The 24-year-old is hitting .299/.446/.403 in 19 games with 20 hits (5 of them being doubles), 21 RBIs, and 5 stolen bases good for an OPS of .849. The kid is making some flashy plays at shortstop as well, improving the defensive side of his game as well throughout the fall.
Dave Dombrowski had his first press conference after GM meetings yesterday and had high praise for Stott. He traveled out to Arizona to watch his prospects live in action and said that Stott is going to be a great big league talent, and “I want him to come in with the right mindset” regarding taking the starting job in 2022.
Logan O’Hoppe is also playing in the AFL for the Peoria Javelinas, getting some key reps behind the plate this fall. He’s hitting .310/.455/.534 in 16 games with 2 HRs and 14 RBIs. He’s totaled 18 hits with 7 doubles, adding up to a .989 OPS. O’Hoppe is first in AFL catchers in OPS and RBIs, and second among catchers in average. The 11th ranked prospect in the Phillies organization is starting to turn heads and draw attention in the AFL, and if he keeps it up, he could see some time in the majors come the 2022 season.

Damon Jones is a left handed pitcher in the Phillies organization, and has been dominant in his short innings throughout the AFL. He’s pitched in 7 games with 9.1 innings total, with an ERA of 0.96 and a 1-0 record. Jones has allowed 5 hits and just one earned run, striking out 12 batters good for a WHIP of 1.29. Damon Jones was taken by the Phillies in the 18th round of the 2017 draft, and has been climbing his way up towards the major leagues.
The AFL Fall Stars game will take place on Saturday, November 13th at 7 PM eastern at Salt Rivers Field on MLB Network. Bryson Stott, Damon Jones, and Logan O’Hoppe will be taking part in the fall stars game, looking to continue their dominant fall’s on the big stage of the AFL.
