Serena Winters is BACK in the world of 76ers basketball with a new podcast

Serena Winters is BACK. The former Philadelphia 76ers sideline reporter will be taking over Locked On 76ers on the Locked On Podcast Network. The podcast was previously the home of Keith Pompey but apparently he hasn’t released a new episode since October 19th, so maybe the change explains why.Â
Serena was laid off in August 2020. It was a really terrible deal that also cut Gregg Murphy and D-Gunn out of NBA Sports Philadelphia. Pretty much all sideline reporters at the time got the axe, outside of Taryn Hatcher, who was moved from the Flyers ice to the NBC Sports studio.
If you’re a Sixers fan that wanted to get rid of Serena Winters, you must not have tuned in very often. Serena was the GOAT sideline reporter a few years back with Marc Zumoff and Alaa Abdelnaby. Having her back in the world of 76ers basketball obviously is a great thing.
Honestly, I wish that I reached out to her and got her on board with The Liberty Line rather than the Locked On Network. Never really listened to the Locked On Network but I’ll definitely check it out now.
Yes, this is a direct pitch to Serena. Get over it. Serena if you see this – there’s still a job opening at The Liberty Line for you. You can take Process to Progress and do whatever you want with James and Leo. I do not care.
In all seriousness, congratulations to Serena Winters. The 76ers have the night off before wrapping up a three game home stand tomorrow night against the Toronto Raptors.
