More Hardware: Bryce Harper wins Silver Slugger Award

The awards keep on coming for Bryce Harper. The Philadelphia Phillies added another trophy to his offseason hardware collection by taking home the Silver Slugger Award. It is the second time in his career that Harper has been honored with the award. He is the first Phillies player to take home the Silver Slugger since Bobby Abreu in 2004.
The Silver Slugger Award is awarded annually to the best offensive player at each position, both in the American and National League. It’s determined by coaches and managers in the MLB, with batting average, slugging percentage, and on-base percentage all considered.
Bryce Harper slashed .309/.429/.615 with 35 HRs, 84 RBIs, 13 stolen bases, 151 hits, and 101 runs scored in 2021 with an OPS of 1.044. Harper had a 5.9 WAR on the season, which is one of the highest in all of the major leagues. His 1.044 OPS lead Major League Baseball.
Last week, it was announced that Harper was a finalist for the National League MVP. Zack Wheeler, JT Realmuto, and Harper are also up to be named to the All-MLB Team, which you can vote for here. Only thing left is to give Bryce Harper the MVP so we can all turn our attention to the offseason.
