NFL Week 10: SportyJordy’s Best Bets via Parx Sportsbook

Week 9 was arguably one of the most insane weeks of football I have ever witnessed in my 23 years of existence. I am (usually) always a fan of the underdog — however, these games were honestly degrading to sports gambling fans everywhere.
I digress as we move over into Week 10 of this NFL season, which I am praying will be much, much kinder to us all, and I can’t lie, the upcoming matchups this weekend are pretty iconic — so I am feeling pretty hopeful.

Also, there are four teams that get to enjoy a bye this week, including the Cincinnati Bengals, who desperately need a break to shake off the funk they’re in. They are joined by the Chicago Bears — who also need some rest after their devastating loss in Monday Night Football to the refs, along with the New York Giants and Houston Texans, who no one will miss watching.
Let’s move over into the important stuff though — the three games I am most excited to bet on this weekend.
Bills vs. Jets
This may sound ridiculous, and I completely understand that take; however, I can not and will not change my mind on this — the Buffalo Bills taking on the New York Jets is the game I will drop everything to watch this weekend.
If you had told me I was going to have this opinion back in Week 7, I would have kindly informed you that you were absolutely bonkers, but many things have changed over the last three weeks.
For starters, I consider myself to be one of Mike White’s biggest supporters, and it is confirmed that he is back for this matchup. I want him to prove that my unwavering support for him is a reasonable stance to uphold by coming out and being a superstar up against a fierce division rival.
Also, Buffalo just suffered an embarrassing loss to Jacksonville — which I still cannot fathom to be true, but this is where we are at right now.
Let’s be honest, one of two things will happen in this game – the Bills are going to rally so unbelievably hard after what we witnessed last Sunday that the Jets are not going to know what hit them. Or, this matchup will be close and have us all sitting on the edge of our seats.
If it were not for Josh Allen, this Buffalo offense would be in shambles. The Bills are still getting 13 points, and I think this is extremely silly.
I would not go as far as to say roll with the Jets money line here; this would also be extremely silly. Yes, the sample size we saw of the Jets with Mike White as QB1 was impressive. We even saw this offense try and come back against the Colts in primetime with a third-string QB.
A win would be exciting, to say the least, but, especially given that this game is divisional, if this New York Jets team can do half of what they did against the Bengals, they will fall just short to the Bills.

Browns vs. Patriots
Both of these teams are coming off of blow-out wins in Week 9. The Patriots beat the Panthers 24-6 and the Browns took down the Bengals 41-16 in Cincinnati. Super nice — now what can we expect for this week?
On paper, this is an excellent matchup, and Vegas has to agree, considering the spread for this game is sitting at just 1.5 points. The Patriots are the favorite, and I can’t lie — I honestly love them here.
It is no secret that I am not totally on board the Baker Mayfield train – I genuinely do love everything about the Cleveland Browns … except for Baker. It will take a lot fewer commercials and a lot more consistency from him for me to change my stance on this.
However, I will give credit where credit is due. Baker had an incredible game last weekend, and that entire offense was beyond explosive, even following the recent exit of WR Odell Beckham Jr — who I honestly believe should end up in New England, but that is a conversation for another day.
Moreover, now that I have acknowledged that Baker can (sometimes) be great, we can also all admit that there are obvious holes in his game.
If anyone is to take advantage of these weaknesses, it’ll be the one and only Bill Belichick — who is establishing a wonderful relationship with Mac Jones and the rest of this Patriots team that seems to get better and better every week.

Vikings vs. Chargers
The fact that I am even discussing this game shocks me, considering I consistently vow never to bet a game that involves the Vikings ever again, but here we are.
The reason I feel pretty comfortable taking on this game, though, is that the Chargers are so back. Unfortunately, we Eagles fans got the wrath of how talented this team actually is this past weekend. With them back in their grove, I personally don’t think the Vikings stand a chance here.
I would not go as far as to say that this is a must-win game for the Chargers just yet, but we are getting to that point. The AFC West is a toss-up at this point, and if LA wants to make a playoff push, they have to take advantage of games like this one.
Vikings fell short to the Baltimore Ravens in overtime on Sunday, but it’s about that time in the schedule where they highlight their inconsistent play and start to fall off the horse … again. And as previously mentioned, the Chargers are now back on an upward climb.
This is the perfect time to appreciate this close of a spread, given that the Chargers are only favored by 3 points here. Realistically, I see this being more of a 10 point game.
