Pick Tracker: Wins across the board send Eagles’ draft selections plummeting

While it was an excellent weekend for the Eagles’ playoff hopes, their draft capital took another major hit with the Dolphins and Colts securing wins. Both teams look to be getting better, and the Eagles have gone from three picks in the top ten to just one. Currently, the Eagles hold the 8th, 11th, and 15th picks in the 2022 NFL, which isn’t bad at all.
Indy beat down the Buffalo Bills 41-15 on the road in shocking fashion, led by a dominant showing from Jonathan Taylor. Carson Wentz was okay, completing just 11 of his 20 attempts and just one touchdown.
According to @WentzSnaps on Twitter, Carson Wentz has played 64% of the Colts’ expected snaps in 2021 through 11 games. Today he played 61 of their 68 offensive snaps, an average amount for Indy this season.
Miami beat the Jets, 24-17, in an ugly game led by two touchdowns from Tua Tagovailoa. Both sides had draft implications for the Eagles, with Philly having something to gain from Joe Flacco.
If Flacco plays 50% of the Jets’ snaps over four games, their 6th-round pick turns into a 5th rounder. Flacco played all of New York’s snaps, throwing 24/39 alongside two touchdowns.
Luckily for the Eagles, both the Dolphins and Colts have tough matchups this upcoming week. Indy hosts Tom Brady and the Buccaneers while the Dolphins play the Cam Newton-led Panthers. Philadelphia will be traveling to New York to battle the Giants in a key divisional battle.
