Lane Johnson delivers quote of the year discussing Jordan Mailata-Davenport altercation

During the Eagles’ 40-29 victory over the New Orleans Saints, things got a bit chippy in the trenches. About halfway through the game, Marcus Davenport made one of the biggest mistakes of his life by attempting to pick a fight with 6’8 350 pound Jordan Mailata. This scuffle also came right after Mailata pancaked Davenport ten yards downfield.

Following the game, Lane Johnson delivered what is easily the quote of the year when asked about the altercation.

Johnson isn’t wrong, with two superhumans deciding to fight with nobody on the field really capable of stopping them if it came to it. Jordan Mailata was a human wrecking ball throughout the game, tossing five-time Cameron Jordan to the ground with one hand like he was a child.

The Eagles’ offensive line was unstoppable, helping Jalen Hurts, Miles Sanders, and Jordan Howard rush for over 200 yards on the best rushing defense in football. After today, Philadelphia heads out to New York to face the Giants in their second divisional battle of the season.
