Seth Curry leads 76ers past Magic, 101-96

I had a difficult time enjoying this basketball game.
The 76ers barely beat the 4-17 Orlando Magic after holding a 17 point lead in the first half. Same story, different game. Without a stellar performance from Seth Curry the Sixers wouldn’t have won this game, luckily they held on to secure a win to finish this short homestand.
This game started as well as you could imagine, ended the first quarter with a 12 point lead, but the lead slowly dwindled into the late 3rd quarter where they eventually lost the lead and traded buckets with Orlando until the end of the game.
Seth Curry was the best player for the 76ers in this game, which was nice to see him get back to form. He scored a team high 24 points (10/13 FG, 3/5 3ptFG), and was the beating heart of the Sixers’ offense throughout this game.
It was a collective effort otherwise, Tobias Harris scored 17 and Joel Embiid scored 16, those three were the only players in double figure points. Harris started this game out well but he was disappointed yet again through the rest of this match. He finished the game 8/20 from the field, and has just looked a step slow recently. Here’s to hoping he figures it out soon.
Many of us were wishing for a dominant victory over one of the worst teams in the NBA, but I guess we can’t expect that much. To give credit to Orlando, they had a lot of fight in them considering they were without Cole Anthony, and Franz Wagner was impressive tonight. To not give credit to the Sixers, they were out hustled and for a majority of this game they were outplayed, they ended up banking on the fact that they are a more talented roster.Â
