LeSean McCoy called the Eagles offense “high school stuff” after failing to score before halftime

Former Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy was watching the disaster unfold against the New York Giants yesterday. McCoy, who officially retired from the NFL as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles in late September, joined Eagles fans in crushing Jalen Hurts and the rest of the Eagles throughout the game on Twitter.Â
Right before halftime, the Eagles walked away with zero points after marching down the field to the goal line. The Eagles had a shot at a field goal with a few seconds left, but Jalen Hurts threw a stupid interception instead of going out of bounds, costing Philadelphia vital points. Following the play, LeSean McCoy took to Twitter once again to voice his displeasure.
Bingo, Shady. The entire drive before halftime was one of many boneheaded plays made by the Eagles throughout the game yesterday. Hurts clearly screwed up this play and killed any sense of momentum heading into halftime. You cannot leave points off the scoreboard, especially in such an important game.
The Eagles ended up choking the game in embarrassing fashion, throwing three interceptions alongside two wide open drops from Jalen Reagor in the closing seconds. It was an all around bad showing that included an upset DeVonta Smith as well as numerous injuries to their offensive line.
It’s always upsetting to see former Eagles legends be annoyed with the state of the team, but LeSean McCoy isn’t wrong in the slightest with what he said. Hopefully, things can turn around when Philadelphia faces the Jets this Sunday.
