Parx Sportsbook Odds Boost: MWC Champion Utah State gunning for a Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl win

The phrase “worst to first” certainly resonates with the 2021 Utah State Aggies. First year coach Blake Anderson (spent previous 7 seasons at Arkansas State) brought his Red Wolves magic to Logan, UT as the Aggies clobbered #19 San Diego State 46-13 to clinch the Mountain West title, a year removed from finishing 1-5.
Our partners at Parx Sportsbook are giving you reason to sprinkle some faith on the Aggies as they’ve boosted the odds on Utah State moneyline from +210 to +250.

AGGIES ALL THE WAY! Utah State moneyline BOOSTED to +250 (previously +210)
Beautiful SoFi Stadium will be the site of the inaugural Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl which has Utah State (10-3, MWC Champion) pitted against PAC-12 foe Oregon State (7-5) as this will be the 4th ever meeting between the two schools…the last won being back in 1998 which was a 20-16 win for the Beavers (Oregon State 3-0 all time).
Utah State has taken care of business when they’ve hit the road season, boasting a 7-0 record outside of Logan, while Oregon State has experienced quite the contrary, salvaging 1 measly win outside of Corvallis….a big reason to ride the Aggies on this one.
The Beavers offense goes as BJ Baylor goes, leading the PAC 12 with 1258 rushing yards, 13 TDS and an astounding 6.3 YPC…in fact the entire offense, unsurprisingly after reading that stat, lead the PAC 12 in rushing with 217 rushing YPG. However, this type of offensive attack can easily fall victim to searching for Plan B as the Aggies defense ranks 4th, YES 4th, in the COUNTRY with 7.9 TFL per game.
As for the Aggies offense, it is certainly fun to watch as they know how to put up POINTS…scoring 30+ points in each of their last 6 contests. Aggies QB Logan Bonner is 8 passing yards away from breaking the school’s single season passing yardage records (currently at 3,560 yards) which is currently held by Green Bay Packer’s QB and Aaron Rodger’s best friend Jordan Love.
Bonners running mate is WR Deven Thompkins who has been the beneficiary of countless Bonner Bombs….tallying 1,589 receiving yards (school record) and hauling in 96 passes (needs 5 more catches for school record).
The Beavers passing defense not necessarily the best suited for an air attack that the Aggies come equipped with, as they allow just over 240 passing yards per game and their opponents have eclipsed 250 passing yards in 7 games this season.
The combination of the pressure the Aggies should be able to apply to the Oregon State offense, particularly behind the line of scrimmage, the Aggies potent offensive attack and their calm-cool-collected demeanor on the road this season should allow them to get this win OUTRIGHT.
Oh, and to add a little bit more fuel to fire….current Aggies RB Calvin Tyler Jr. spent 4 years in Coravllis donning the orange & black, so whose to say he wouldn’t like some sweet revenge on his former Beaver teammates.
