Monday Night Double Header: Parx Odds Boost + Predictions
The Browns and the Raiders will kick this evening off at 5 PM ET followed by the Bears and the Vikings at the traditional 8:15 PM ET.
Between injuries and illnesses plaguing all four teams, there is a great chance that these games are absolutely horrific. The hopes are that they are so bad, they actually end up being good? Let’s be honest, betting on hot mess games is much more exciting anyway.
Parx Odds Boost: The CB’s – Cleveland Browns and Chicago Bears to Win (Was +398, Now +500)
Even with all of the Brown’s struggles this week they are still 3-point favorites going into this matchup. That alone emphasizes just how weak this Raiders team is. On the other hand, The Bears are decent underdogs as they are missing more than a handful of pieces due to COVID protocols – so this becomes a little more tricky.
Taking all things into consideration, I am honestly riding with the Odds Boost tonight.
I feel very confident about Cleveland, who is rolling with Nick Mullens as their starting quarterback. There are much worse options to have as a third-string QB. For the Bears, I am not necessarily focusing on why Chicago can win, rather, it is more why the Vikings can lose.
Minnesota has been inconsistent all season and it would be brave to set any expectations for Kirk Cousins under the limelight. Cousins holds a 9-17 record on the big stage and has never won back-to-back primetime games.
The Bears are certainly facing an uphill battle, but in an NFC North showdown if there was ever a time for them to come out on top and help play spoiler to playoff dreams – tonight is a great time to get it done.
Also, the Eagles desperately need the Chicago Bears’ help. A Vikings loss tonight, and a Philadelphia win tomorrow makes our Wild Card Playoff dreams much more realistic. This is just some added motivation to be a Bears fan tonight.
Now that you know what teams I am backing this evening with the Odds Boost, we can have a little more fun. I genuinely do not feel comfortable touching either point spreads tonight since I previously mentioned, both of these games have the potential to be so disgustingly ugly.
One thing I will say, I am rocking with the total points for this pair of matchups.
The Bears and Vikings game is sitting fairly low at 44.5 total points, according to Parx. The chances of seeing a high-scoring, explosive game, here is fairly low but I do think we are going to just hit the over. This one is going to start slow, but I have a feeling it will pick up in the second half.
The Vikings have been able to put points on the board and we were able to see Chicago’s offense cook against Green Bay. With the 3rd and 4th quarter motion, OVER 44.5 total points is a safe one.
For the Raiders vs. Browns game though… a final score in the teens from both teams would not shock me in the slightest. If Las Vegas can hit double-digit points throughout the game at all tonight, that would be impressive.
Raiders are without both of their starting tight ends, the Browns are still down a handful of pieces after their COVID outbreak, Kareem Hunt mostly affecting this offense, and the weather in Cleveland tonight is freezing which is going to complicate this game even more.
The total points are only 40, but I can not see either team scoring enough to make the over happen.
How are we feeling tonight about a Parx Odds Boost with both the Browns and the Bears coming out on top at +500 odds, over 44.5 points for Minnesota and Chicago, and under 40 for Las Vegas and Cleveland?
