Joel Embiid to Tyrese Maxey: That’s how you respond to criticism
After Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Toronto Raptors, Joel Embiid had some words to say to Tyrese Maxey in their post game press conference.
Joel Embiid dominated throughout the game against the Raptors, scoring 36 points in 34 minutes of action. Tyrese Maxey on the other hand, went 2-for-11 from the floor and 1-for-4 from beyond the arc for a miserable 5 points in the game.

Tonight, was the Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid show in Brooklyn, with the 76ers closing out the season with a huge win against the first place Brooklyn Nets, 110-102. Joel Embiid continued his dominance on the road with 34 points, seven rebounds, three steals, an assist and a block.
How did Maxey respond after Embiid criticized his play the game before?
Maxey caught fire in the fourth quarter for the 76ers and finished the night with 25 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. He was 10-for-18 from the floor and 5-for-8 from beyond the arc.
After the game, Maxey said he wanted to show out tonight since Embiid told him he was terrible. The two joined each other for what has now become must watch post game media availability and talked about how Maxey responded tonight.

Just to be clear, Joel Embiid told Maxey he was terrible, and Maxey responded with a 25 point, five three point performance against the best team in the Eastern Conference to help give the Philadelphia 76ers a much needed win.
Our previous starting point guard, is literally not playing right now because he felt disrespected by Embiid, Doc Rivers, and the 76ers’ fanbase.
What a huge difference.
The development of Tyrese Maxey has been incredible this season. With every passing game, he and Embiid look better and better on the court together and they sure do seem to get along off the court as well.
