Eagles list 12 players on first injury report ahead of Wild Card weekend

After an extended weekend, the Eagles returned to practice today, with the team participating in a walkthrough. The Eagles had another lengthy injury list, but it doesn’t appear to be anything of concern just yet. 12 players were listed, but three of those were due to rest.
Eagles Injury Report for January 12th

Josh Sweat
Sweat was the only inactive Eagle who wasn’t out due to rest. There has been no word about Sweat’s illness, but the good news is he is not on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. It’s likely the Eagles gave him a day to recover, and he should be back before Sunday.
Offensive Line
Landon Dickerson missed the Eagles’ Week 18 game against Dallas due to a thumb injury and was once again questionable this afternoon. Andre Dillard left early on Saturday with a knee injury he’s still dealing with, while Nate Herbig has an ankle injury.
Being listed as questionable this early in the week is a good sign for being available this weekend, especially since it’s a playoff game. If they are still limited tomorrow, then it might be a different story.
Miles Sanders
The Eagles top running back returned to practice today after suffering a broken hand against the New York Giants. Nick Sirianni stated he was hopeful Sanders would play this week, and all signs are pointing towards that currently.
Fellow running back Jordan Howard wasn’t listed, so the running attack should be back in full against the Buccaneers.
Jalen Hurts
Hurts has often been limited since spraining his ankle several weeks ago, but he is a full participant to start the week. Sirianni said Hurts feels great and is almost at 100%.
In the biggest game of his career, there’s no chance that Hurts is missing this Sunday with a lingering ankle injury.
Lengthy injury reports to start the week are always expected, so none of these names should be concerning. As the week continues, this list should be cut by over half going into the Wild Card round.
