Davante Adams praises Eagles corner, planting seeds to potentially come to Philly

In case you haven’t heard, Eagles cornerback Darius Slay didn’t get many All-Pro votes this year — just one to be exact.

Players around the league have great respect for Slay and have always been vocal about what he brings to the game.

This time he has earned praise from one of the NFL’s best in Davante Adams:

Darius Slay has only allowed 459 yards in coverage this season while shadowing the opposing team’s top receivers. Add in his three defensive touchdowns and it’s a travesty that he only received one All-Pro vote.

In the long-term view of things, is Slay up to his recruiting ways again? Davante Adams is set to be an unrestricted free agent in 2022 and with uncertainty surrounding Aaron Rodgers’ future in Green Bay, he could be on the move as well.

Slay has already gotten a head start on trying to bring another star WR to Philly, and needless to say, a DeVonta-Davante pairing would be lethal on offense.

  1. The Eagles should sign Davanta Adams if he becomes available. If they do not sign Adams, the Eagles need to move up to at least the 10th pick in the 1st round and draft Drake London at 6′ 5″ and 210 lbs. from USC. This wr had the most contested catches among his 88 catches and 1,084 yards in just 8 games! The defensive players will be their when the Eagles pick later in the 1st round. Come on Howie. Do your job and get it right. E-A-G-L-E-S…Eagles!
