76ers lose Matisse Thybulle for at least a week due to shoulder injury

The Philadelphia 76ers have been without Matisse Thybulle for nine games already this season thanks to COVID-19 Health and Safety Protocols. Now, Thybulle will miss even more time after an MRI on his sore right shoulder Sunday revealed a sprain. He will be reevaluated in next week.
The injury initially happened on Friday night during the Sixers’ dominant win over the Boston Celtics. Thybulle hit the ground hard after a dunk in the third quarter and a Flagrant 1 on Dennis Schroder.
Still, Thybulle tied a career high with five steals during the game and gave the Sixers his signature elite defense against Jayson Tatum.
The Sixers are back in action tomorrow at 2PM against the Washington Wizards. In addition to Thybulle, they will be without Danny Green (right hip) and Shake Milton (back contusion).
Furkan Korkmaz will likely continue to start for the Sixers with Isaiah Joe and Charlie Brown Jr. remaining in Doc Rivers’ rotation. For the Wizards, Davis Bertans is expected to return tomorrow, with Bradley Beal listed as questionable after missing three straight games due to healthy and safety protocols.
