Joel Farabee on IR, Wade Allison called up as the Flyers provided roster updates

Today the Flyers held an optional practice that consisted mainly of healthy scratches and rehabbing players.
Optional practice today for Flyers before they fly to Buffalo.

The backup goalie and scratches from last night, along with two rehabbing players:
Martin Jones
Nick Seeler
Kevin Connauton
Derick Brassard (hip)
Tyson Foerster (shoulder)
Two notable names in that mix are Derick Brassard and Tyson Foerster. Glad to see both of them progressing during some long rehab stints.

Joel Farabee was placed on injury reserve alongside Kevin Hayes. Farabee is expected to miss four weeks of action. Yet another example that this season is cursed and not meant to be. What can go wrong, will go wrong.
Wade Allison and Jackson Cates were called up to the taxi squad promptly after these updates and look to be in the lineup on Saturday, per Mike Yeo.
Allison has had a rough bout with injuries over his career but he is undoubtedly an energy piece. Since returning back with Phantoms, Wade has been a machine and garnered the scoring production to prove once again he’s ready for the jump. At least this will give me a reason to be excited to watch games going forward.
Won’t be long until Wade Allison is a Flyer. Allison makes it 1-0. #Flyers pic.twitter.com/3QaFiYLUps
