Bears looking to hire Eagles executive to “high-level” front office position

The Eagles’ front office continues to receive interest around the NFL. Yesterday, Geoff Mosher and Adam Caplan reported that the Chicago Bears are interested in hiring Director of Player Personnel Ian Cunningham to a “high-ranking front-office job.”
Cunningham is reportedly close with the Bears’ newly hired general manager Ryan Poles. Several of Howie Roseman’s assistants have received looks from teams across the league this season.
Executives Catherine Raiche and Brandon Brown were interviewed for the Vikings’ GM opening a few weeks back but unfortunately didn’t land the job. Cunningham was promoted to his current position this past offseason, previously being the Eagles’ Assistant Director of Player Personnel for two seasons.
The next step for someone in Cunningham’s position would likely be a Vice President or second-in-command role to Poles in Chicago.
The Bears also recently hired Colts defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus as their new head coach. Eagles passing game coordinator Kevin Patullo is reportedly one of the names Eberflus is looking at to become their next offensive coordinator.
Losing Cunningham would hurt the Eagles’ front office, but they should be able to recover just fine. Alongside him and Patullo, Philadelphia could also lose Jonathan Gannon, who is reported to be in the lead for the Houston Texans’ head coach opening.
