Report: Green Bay set to interview Eagles QB coach for offensive coordinator job

With the Broncos hiring former Packers OC Nathaniel Hackett as their next head coach, Matt LaFleur now has an open position to fill.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Green Bay has interviewed Chargers tight ends coach Kevin Koger and have Eagles QB coach Brian Johnson next on their list of candidates:
The #Packers interviewed #Chargers TEs coach Kevin Koger and are expected to interview #Eagles QB coach Brian Johnson for their vacant OC job, sources say. Luke Getsy and Adam Stenavich are the top in-house candidates.

Johnson was a college offensive coordinator at Utah, Houston and Florida before coming to Philadephia last season. Leading Florida’s high-powered offense in 2020, Johnson helped shape Kyle Pitts and Kadarius Toney into first-round talents.
The relationship between Eagles QB Jalen Hurts and Brian Johnson is well documented as they’ve known each other since the former’s childhood.
This is now the third Eagles coach that has been requested for an interview in recent weeks. Defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon has interviewed with three teams for their head coaching vacancies, while passing game coordinator Kevin Patullo is a name to watch for Bears’ OC.
Eagles QB coach Brian Johnson has known Jalen Hurts since he was 4 and once recruited him, but has never had the opportunity to coach him until now.
