Hitting coach posts video of Mike Trout in a batting cage, Twitter has no idea who he is and rips his swing

Founder of The Hitting Vault, Matt Lisle, posted a video yesterday of a baseball player taking some batting practice. In the video, Lisle captioned it saying that his friend’s son needed help hitting a baseball and asked for any tips or suggestions.
After it was posted, the video blew up and reminded us about how awful social media is. Everyone has an opinion, and “baseball coaches” and “hitting instructors” from every corner of the internet jumped on the opportunity to correct or at times, simply insult the guy hitting the baseball.
Mike Trout
You have to love social media coaches. They truly never fail. If you haven’t realized already, the guy in the video is the pride of Millville New Jersey, Mike Trout.
Matt Lisle provided a masterclass in Twitter by asking for suggestions and replies came pouring in trying to critique one of the best baseball players to ever step foot on the diamond.
Even with all of the Twitter coaches, I do have a suggestion for Matt Lisle and Mike Trout.
I know you just signed a massive contract extension but for the love of god, Mr. Trout, please leave Anaheim. I get you’re not a guy that likes the spotlight and sure, you now have another bonafide star with you in Shohei Ohtani, but baseball needs you to be the face of the game.
At the VERY least, you need to become recognizable while taking batting practice, even if the video camera looks like it’s an iPhone 4.
