Ben Simmons speaks with Kevin Durant, Patty Mills, seems to be suddenly cured of mental health issues

Shortly after being moved from the Philadelphia 76ers, Ben Simmons looks to be making a quick return to the Brooklyn Nets. According to Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson, Simmons is expected to join the Nets tonight in Miami ahead of Saturday’s game against the Heat.
Alongside that, Nets guard Patty Mills said he spoke with Simmons at length and said he’s “in a really good place.”
So, after all that chatter about being unable to play or participate due to mental health, it seems like Ben Simmons will be back in just a few days.
What a slap in the face to people who actually struggle with mental health that Simmons uses it as an excuse not to have shown up in front of Philly fans or the public for half a season.
It’s baffling how he was able to skate by through this, but the biggest thing is this will most certainly bite him in the ass and the rest of the NBA.
Simmons and his group were hopeful that he would receive his fines back in arbitration. There’s a clause where a team can’t fine you if you’re struggling with mental health, but suddenly being fully cured the second you’re traded throws that out the window.
Meanwhile, it’s also been reported he’s spoken with Kevin Durant at length and Steve Nash after being moved. This whole thing had to have been a bit of an elephant in the room, right?
Philadelphia hosts the Nets on March 10th, a game that Simmons will surely be “injured” for. Brooklyn hid Kyrie from Boston for three seasons. We could honestly never see him in Philadelphia again and be totally fine with it.
