Joel Embiid attempted to recreate James Harden’s step-back three-pointer during blowout loss to Celtics

Yesterday was a pretty wild day in the Philadelphia Sports world. You had Ben Simmons giving his first presser since Game 7 of the Atlanta Hawks series, James Harden giving his introductory presser with the 76ers, and every national media person on Twitter eating crow after blaming 76ers fans for being mean to Ben Simmons.
Then last night, you had the Philadelphia 76ers getting absolutely obliterated at home against the Boston Celtics.
There’s not much to say about that game. Only one game left before the All-Star break and then James Harden will take the court with Joel Embiid, so we all just need to be patient and deal with the laziness for the rest of the week.
However, we did see something interesting during last night’s game.
No, it wasn’t Tobias Harris embarrassing himself , that happens all the time.
During practice yesterday, Joel Embiid was working out with James Harden and attempting to do his signature step-back three point shot.

During the game last night, we saw Joel Embiid attempt the shot. Lets just say it didn’t really work out as planned but hey, it’s only day one, right?
Embiid was whistled for traveling on the play. The game was pretty much over from the tip anyways so Jojo might as well break out the new move and work on it.
Harden was also pictured shooting with Tyrese Maxey and has made it clear that he wants to help everyone on the 76ers get better and get them the ball with easy looks at the basket.
This was only attempt one for Joel Embiid. Just wait until he gets a full month under his belt.
