The end of COVID-19: Center City Sips set to return this summer

Nature is healing. COVID-19 can kick rocks from here on out. In an announcement that has been two years in the making, Center City Sips will return this summer.
The best part of Center City Sips has to be the announcement on centercityphila.com. They act like it’s some high-class event in the “Center City District.”
Center City District SIPS returns this summer!
Beginning June 1, participating locations within the Center City District will offer $6 cocktails, $5 wine and $4 beer every Wednesday after work through August 31. Longtime SIPS partner Beam-Suntory will be highlighting Hornitos Tequila as the featured spirit this year.
As return-to-office efforts expand, this unique promotion is the perfect opportunity to reconnect with friends and coworkers while supporting some of the city’s best culinary and entertainment venues. Check back soon for more details, including the full list of participants and drink specials.
Lol. Yeah, okay. They make Center City Sips look like a relaxing mid-week happy hour. In reality, Center City Sips is an over-packed shit show filled with drunk college kids and young finance bros looking to beat the shit out of each other.
I mean come on, we all remember these videos.
Regardless, I’m excited. Talk about a beautiful flow of content every Wednesday in the summer months while the Phillies ultimately disappoint the entire city. Center City Sips will be jumping post-COVID already and mix in a bunch of pent-up anger and we’ll have content FLOWING.
All of this isn’t even considering James Harden, who has been known to love a good party. Hell, maybe we’ll even get Joel Embiid back in the mix. The return of The Process to Center City Sips would be epic.
Anyways, it’s great to see the world getting back to normal. I don’t care what happens from there. Get rid of the mask and vaccine mandates and let’s get back to what we do best: Drinking in beautiful weather and throwing some haymakers along the way.
