Danny Green doesn’t expect Ben Simmons to play on March 10th

Danny Green had some more interesting comments regarding the Ben Simmons saga on his podcast, Inside the Green Room. Green was asked about the upcoming matchup against the Brooklyn Nets on March 10th, and things don’t seem as cheery as they once were.
Danny Green on Ben Simmons
Green said he doesn’t think either side will shake hands if Simmons does return to Philadelphia next month but wouldn’t ignore him if Simmons approached him. He also said he’s interested to see how the dynamic is in Brooklyn since Seth Curry and Andre Drummond weren’t on cordial terms with Ben.
ESPN reported yesterday that Simmons has been ramping up to return to play, and it would be weeks, not months before he is back on the court. Like the rest of Philadelphia, Green doesn’t expect him to show up for the game.

Simmons appeared to burn all his bridges on his way out, not even speaking to Joel Embiid after being traded for James Harden during the trade deadline.
The Nets hid Kyrie Irving from Boston for several years. There’s a genuine chance that the 3x All-Star won’t step back in Philadelphia for the remainder of his contract unless they face off in the playoffs.
Philadelphia is back in action on the road this Friday, with Harden making his debut against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
