Nets Fans in full panic mode on Reddit, want to make sure Ben Simmons feels accepted in Brooklyn

As if we already didn’t have our hands full with the hype of James Harden and Joel Embiid playing basketball together, we are also blessed with a beautiful side story unfolding in Brooklyn regarding Ben Simmons and Brooklyn Nets fans.
Witnessing Brooklyn Nets fans try to make sense of Ben Simmons and convince themselves that he will become a different player and person now that he’s in Brooklyn has been amazing. On top of that, we have Nets fans and a bunch of national media pundits doing everything possible to diminish Harden in Philadelphia, which we all know is total bullshit.
Earlier today, I stumbled across this post on the /GoNets subreddit and it pretty much sums everything up perfectly.

“It’s vitally important for all of us, especially those that attend upcoming games to make Ben feel like he’s been here his whole life.”
Right lol. Ben Simmons is literally scared to play basketball. He’s not even playing yet for Brooklyn and won’t be playing for at least another two weeks while Harden and the 76ers steamroll opponents on a nightly basis.
Philly fans didn’t “stoop” to anything. Ben Simmons refused to play basketball for the Sixers and turned his back on his teammates, fans, and the entire city of Philadelphia, handling the entire situation like a total child.
Nets fans did get one thing right: Ben Simmons is definitely third option in Brooklyn. What they fail to realize is that Ben Simmons left Philadelphia because he wanted to be on a team that was “built around him.” The irony.
Honestly, the more I read over the post above, the more pathetic it sounds. Ben Simmons is a grown man and maybe he should grow up. Basketball is a business. If you want to treat him like a child, go right ahead. I’m sure he’ll respond exactly how he responded in Philadelphia, like a huge cry baby.
