Masks Off: City of Philadelphia announces end of mask-mandate

Let freedom ring. According to Jeff Cole of FOX 29, Philadelphia will be dropping its mask-mandate immediately after conducting a meeting with top health officials this morning.
This means no more masks at bars, stores, bathrooms, and anywhere else in Philly that you can imagine. The official announcement is likely to come at some point this morning.
Just a few days ago, the city said that the mandate would remain in effect for the time being in schools and other indoor public places. Last month, Philly dropped their vaccine mandate, and it was only a matter of time before the mask mandate followed suit.
Wells Fargo Center got rid of the mandate for vaccines just a few days ago but kept the mask mandate in effect. With this city-wide change, though, that will likely be on its way out as well.
Kick rocks, COVID. We’re finished. You are about as scary as the common cold these days. Now we can finally focus on what matters: James Harden and Joel Embiid brining an NBA Championship to Philly.
