Twitter users campaign for Matisse Thybulle to join Drew Hanlen’s Pure Sweat this summer

Following last night’s win against the Chicago Bulls, the Philadelphia 76ers currently sit in second place in the Eastern Conference, a half game up on the Milwaukee Bucks and three games behind the East-leading Miami Heat.
Not considering the game over the weekend in which James Harden did not play, the Sixers are a perfect 5-0 since The Beard has taken the court with the team.
Even with a four game sample size, we have seen how Harden makes everyone better on the 76ers. Tyrese Maxey has turned into a legitimate “third star”, and other players have certainly benefited from the spacing and facilitation that Harden provides.
Just look at what Georges Niang has been doing during the Harden-era.
Still, outside of Harden, Embiid, Maxey and sometimes Tobias Harris, the Sixers need additional contributions to help guide them deep into the playoffs. Matisse Thybulle is the first player that comes to mind. Obviously he’s an elite defenseman but there’s plenty of work that needs to be done on the offensive side of the court.
Not including last night, looking at the previous two games, Matisse Thybulle put up the following numbers on offense.
- 22 minutes: 0-2 FG
- 17 minutes: 0-2 FG
If Thybulle could at the very least, score 10 points per game, which he did last night, that would help the Sixers tremendously and will help 76ers fans put aside some depth worries heading into the playoffs.

Drew Hanlen and Pure Sweat
NBA Skills Coach Drew Hanlen, who works with Joel Embiid, and Jayson Tatum, among others, posted the following tweet yesterday asking who he should add to the Pure Sweat fam this summer.
Literally 90% of the replies mention one person.
Matisse Thybulle.
If Thybulle is able to add a legitimate jump shot to his repertoire, he would instantly become an elite NBA player. Hopefully Hanlen can help Thybulle figure out his offensive struggles. We have seen what he has been able to accomplish with Embiid and Tatum and Thybulle should definitely be his next project.
