Joel Embiid joins the Draymond Green show to discuss Ben Simmons, his injury history, and to basically, just talk shit

Joel Embiid joined The Draymond Green Show to discuss a wide array of topics, including embracing The Process, social media trolling, the MVP race, injuries, and his big contract extension. I’ll give you some key highlights and you can find the link to the full episode below.
Injury History
Embiid discussed injuries throughout his career and how it was brutal to sit on the bench his first year while the Process Sixers got absolutely crushed on a nightly basis. He continued to say that it was tough to get better physically while trying to stay strong mentally watching your team losing constantly.
In the end, Joel continued to say that he learned a lot from that experience and it has helped him grow throughout his career in Philly.
Draymond Green and Joel Embiid talking shit to each other is must-see TV
Green and Embiid discussed the possibility of the Warriors and Sixers meeting in the NBA Finals. Draymond kicked off the conversation saying that Embiid better believe he would “lock that shit up” before Joel had to quickly correct him that the Warriors needed to double-team him constantly if they even stood a chance at slowing him down.
Embracing The Process
One of the most notable pieces from this is Embiid emphasizing that Hinkie was forced out and that he was pissed off that the Colangelo’s, Josh Harris, and Adam Silver took control before things came to fruition. We know Embiid has always loved Hinkie, but this is the first time he’s openly talked about his departure and how it was shady.
Joel also combatted the idea that Philly was losing on purpose, and the negative thoughts about the process and it pissed him off and rove him to be better. He even mentioned that people had called him to get Embiid to stop saying the process and that they wanted to move on.
Social Media Trolling
One of us….one of us….
When Draymond asked him about his trolling history, Joel said he will sit there for minutes before posting just crying laughing at his tweets. Green brought up specifically his beef with Andre Drummond, to which Embiid said he was glad to have them since they desperately needed a backup center.
Ben Simmons
Honestly, this was probably the least interesting part of the show. Throughout the entire Ben Simmons saga, Joel Embiid has been extremely consistent on what he said and how he felt about it. Embiid didn’t understand why Ben Simmons was refusing to play for the 76ers, he felt like he and Simmons could win a championship together. Blah blah blah.
Here’s the full clip in case you’re still interested in this topic but as you could tell, I’m certainly not.
MVP Race
Following their close loss to the Denver Nuggets earlier this week, Green asked Joel about the ongoing MVP race. Of course, Embiid had nothing but great things to say about Nikola Jokic and said it’s great to see non-American players all in the top three for the MVP.
