Report: Eagles one of several teams inquiring about veteran receiver

With just three weeks to go until the 2022 NFL Draft, most of the high-profile free agents have found new homes.
Even after the addition of WR Zach Pascal, the Eagles still need a viable pass-catcher across from DeVonta Smith and may be relegated to the trade market to find one.
According to NFL Insider Jordan Schultz, Philadelphia has contacted Houston about veteran WR Brandin Cooks:
I’m told #Saints and #Eagles have also inquired about Brandin Cooks, whose 8,364 receiving yards rank sixth in the league since his rookie season of 2014.

Following the Deshaun Watson trade, the Texans are now stockpiling assets for the future. Brandin Cooks has been with four different teams over his eight-year career, playing at a high level with each one.
The 28-year-old has recorded over 1,000 yards receiving in six seasons, catching 90 passes for 1,037 yards and 6 TDs with Houston last year.
Cooks is entering the final year of his contract and is due a base salary of $12.5M in 2022.
A restructured deal would undoubtedly be in the conversation should the Eagles acquire Cooks. Concussions have been an issue for him throughout his career, but for one of the 5th-rounders that Philly holds, Cooks is well worth the risk.
