Jalen Rose, NBA Countdown crew joke about James Harden’s shooting struggles

Oh man, the funny guys on ESPN are at it again. Jalen Rose was on NBA Countdown leading into the Hornets vs Hawks making jokes about James Harden and his recent shooting struggles.
“(James Harden’s) stats look like concert tour dates“
Yeah…lets put this one to the side with the TikTok Corgi and revisit when we actually get to watch some playoff basketball.
James Harden is 14-7 with the Philadelphia 76ers. He’s averaging 21 points, seven rebounds, and nearly 11 assists per game while shooting 40% from the floor and 33% from beyond the arc.
I get that there’s some games when he doesn’t shoot the ball well but lets not pretend he isn’t contributing and helping the Sixers win basketball games compared to what we used to have in Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, and Andre Drummond.

Of course, we need a better version of James Harden in the playoffs if we expect to advance past the second round and honestly, I think we’re going to get one.
It’s really hard to judge a player based off the final month and a half of the season when the team has already locked up a playoff spot and has been on record multiple times saying the only thing that matters is winning the NBA Finals.
I don’t think it’s crazy to say that Harden, who struggled with a lingering hamstring injury, was out there just playing basketball and going through the motions rather than pushing himself to the next level during the month of March.
When we do see Playoff Harden, I’ll be enjoying a few beers and watching him and Joel Embiid destroy the Raptors like this:
Side Note: That joke wasn’t even that funny. Jalen Rose clearly gave the rest of the NBA Countdown crew a heads up beforehand. They probably had “LAUGH” signs lighting up behind the cameras.
