Stephen A. Smith: James Harden is throwing the Toronto series to get Doc Rivers fired so the 76ers will hire Mike D’Antoni

Just when you thought things couldn’t get any crazier this morning after a BRUTAL Game 5 loss last night, Stephen A. Smith appeared on ESPN and threw out a WILD conspiracy theory about James Harden’s intentions during the 76ers current playoff run.
Stephen A thinks James Harden is throwing the series so the Sixers hire Mike D’Antoni
That’s right. Stephen A. Smith thinks that James Harden is purposely throwing the Toronto series to force Doc Rivers out of Philadelphia so the 76ers organization will hire Mike D’Antoni as the next head coach.
What. The. Fuck.
If anyone has read past articles or has listened to The Misery Report, you know I am big on conspiracy theories but it’s tough for me to get behind this one. Maybe if we were talking Jay Wright from Villanova I would be on board but Mike D’Antoni? C’mon man.
If the Sixers, in a nightmare situation, don’t get out of the first round (they will) and then they fire Rivers and hire D’Antoni, throw me off the Walt Whitman Bridge.
The unfortunate part about this is that even if Stephen A. Smith turns out to be right, that still wouldn’t be the craziest thing to happen to the Philadelphia 76ers over the past decade.
What on earth is Mike D’Antoni going to do for the Philadelphia 76ers? Honestly, think about it. Unless he is a witch doctor that can break spells cast down upon a cursed NBA franchise then I’m not interested.
The 76ers need to make it to Thursday night and put an end to the Toronto Raptors. It’s not even 3 PM today and everyone is losing their minds already while we STILL have a 3-2 series lead.
Hang in there, folks. It’s going to be a long 48 hours.
