TRADE: Eagles acquire star WR in exchange for pick Nos. 18 and 101

BIG MOVES.

In a blockbuster trade with the Titans, the Eagles have acquired star WR AJ Brown in exchange for the No. 18 overall pick and pick No. 101 in the third round.

The Eagles are also giving Brown a 4-year, $100M extension worth $57 guaranteed.

Philadelphia had a need for WR and after the top receivers were off the board, GM Howie Roseman went another route.

Trade speculation had been surrounding the Pro Bowler in recent weeks amid contract negotiations. Tennessee elected to move on from him and draft his replacement in Treylon Burks.

Brown has torn up the league over his first three seasons, totaling 185 receptions for nearly 3,000 yards and 24 touchdowns. Just before offseason workouts began, Brown was spotted catching passes from close friend Jalen Hurts. Now the two will be donning the same jersey next season.

The addition of Brown provides an accomplished, big-bodied threat who will bring elite YAC ability to the offense. This move also further cements what Roseman has been preaching for months on end — they’re all in on Jalen Hurts.
