Woj: There is “optimism” that Joel Embiid could return for Game 3 against Miami Heat

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, there is optimism that Joel Embiid could return to action as soon as game three against the Miami Heat.
Embiid suffered a mild concussion and an orbital fracture during their game six victory over the Toronto Raptors following a collision with Pascal Siakam.
As soon as the news broke, Embiid was ruled out for game one and it was announced that he wouldn’t travel with the team for game two as well.
In order to play, Embiid will need to clear concussion protocols and visit with a doctor sometime this week regarding the fracture. This is great news for the 76ers, with many fans anticipating him to miss far more time than revealed.
It’s possible the Sixers could steal a game on the road this week, with Kyle Lowry out for game one while Jimmy Butler, Tyler Herro, and P.J. Tucker are all questionable. Game one is scheduled for Monday night at 7:30 P.M.
