Before joining Towson, Howard spent four seasons with Georgia Tech totaling 858 yards and 7 TDs. He then transferred to Towson, where he rushed for 932 yards and averaged 4.9 yards/carry in 2021.
As of now, the Eagles have Miles Sanders, Boston Scott, Kenneth Gainwell and Jason Huntley on the roster. They need some size in the backfield, and the 230-pounder could serve as a power back for short-yardage situations.
“I feel that I can be an all-around back. I’m big enough to be a power back and fast enough to run around the edge,” Howard told NFL Draft Diamonds.
“I’ve played in a run-heavy triple option as well as playing an air raid scheme back in high school. Two years ago at Georgia Tech, I was used as a receiver coming out of the backfield.”
