HBO Max show Hacks rips The Process and the 76ers, saying they suck and blow it every year

God dammit. There’s nothing I hate more than Hollywood chiming in on the pain and suffering the city of Philadelphia endures while rooting for the 76ers. So of course, when I saw this tweet floating around from an HBO Max show titled “Hacks” on a Monday morning, I wasn’t too thrilled with what I saw.
PAIN. Apparently the show Hacks was created by a woman by the name of Jen Statsky, who is on record as being a Los Angeles Clippers fan.
On Twitter, Jen said that this was done with “love and immense empathy” but unfortunately, I’m not buying it. Thanks for kicking us while we’re down, Jen. The 76ers have long been the punching bag for the national media and now Hollywood is joining in on the fun. Just brutal.
It’s hard to say that the 76ers suck. If you want to say they are cursed because of The Process and the fact that we go into the playoffs with our MVP candidate suffering some type of freak illness or injury every year, maybe I can get behind that.
We have Trae Young talking about Ben Simmons passing up a dunk and some HBO Max show ripping the 76ers on a Monday morning. For the love of God, can anyone show some sympathy around here?
The 76ers suck though? Not really, but it is definitely hard to think of any witty comeback to defend our basketball team after another brutal second round exit.
