Eagles granted access to marketing rights in three countries overseas

The NFL announced today that the Philadelphia Eagles had been awarded marketing rights in New Zealand, Australia, and Ghana. These rights allow the Eagles to have sponsorship and promotional rights similar to what they enjoy in their traditional home markets.
Essentially, it seems like the NFL is allowing teams to select countries and become the primary team featured in that area through merchandise and partnerships with local companies.
The Los Angeles Rams also held marketing rights in Australia before this announcement, so there will be some competition to gain fans in those countries.
With Ghana, the Eagles are the first NFL team to enter a market in Africa. It’ll be interesting to see what these teams do in these untapped markets, with the NFL wanting to expand worldwide.
