Bat flips or Ump Shows? The 2022 College World Series has the answer to all of baseball’s problems

The 2022 College World Series is must watch television. A few nights ago, Jordan Beck from Tennessee delivered a 9th inning double to tie the game against Georgia Tech in the regional championship then rounded first base flipping-off the Georgia Tech outfielders.
Give me a break. That’s amazing. It’s so amazing that all of the rats that have no spine or sense of competitiveness absolutely hated this video. The baseball purists cried from the heavens saying how disrespectful it was to flip off the opposing team. People called Tennessee classless, bad sports, inappropriate, and called for this guy to be suspended.
Of course, they’re all wrong and this is the best thing that’s ever happened to baseball, maybe ever.
It’s 2022, and in college baseball we are spiking helmets, flipping people off, screaming, yelling, and blaring music in the dugouts.
What a time to be alive.
I can’t believe that people are upset about college kids mashing dingers and telling people to fuck off.
Pitchers NEVER get ridiculed for celebrating strikeouts but any time a batter crushes a home run it’s like the sky is falling when he celebrates. Everyone relax. Hitting a baseball is one of the hardest things to do in all of sports. They deserve to go crazy and it makes the viewing experience even better.
Would you rather have a full on Ump Show like we saw in the East Carolina game last night?
Yeah. Didn’t think so. That’s boring.
I would rather watch guys like Drew Gilbert at Tennessee bat flipping the fuck out of a 3-run home, throwing the ball 40 feet in the air and taking what felt like a million years to get to first base.
It’s crazy to me that we always hear stories about how to fix baseball and get more younger kids into the game but then at the same time, get mad when teams like UT and the rest of college baseball celebrate and go crazy. The answer is right in front of everyone’s faces and no one will acknowledge it.
Drew Smith, you are part of this problem. We’re talking about student athletes, not professional athletes. Your take on this out of control conduct is typical from someone who knows nothing about the game or appreciates it.
I can’t believe you actually have a job to write about anything in sports. Loser!
No Todd. You’re the problem. Loser. You clearly never played sports at any type of competitive level and have zero joy in your life. I pity you. Not only do I write about anything I want, I own the damn website. Go fuck yourself.
