Phillies acquire LHP Michael Plassmeyer and cash considerations from San Francisco Giants for C Austin Wynns

The Phillies have acquired left-handed starter Michael Plassmeyer and cash considerations from the San Francisco Giants in exchange for C Austin Wynns, according to the team.
Plassmeyer will be assigned to Lehigh Valley (AAA).
Plassmeyer’s 2022 has been off to a rough start, holding a 7.38 ERA in 11 appearances (10 starts). He’s totaled 46.1 innings this year, allowing 50 hits and 38 earned runs in his time with Sacramento in AAA. The 25-year-old has struggled throughout his Triple-A career, as he holds a 7.23 ERA over two seasons.
Austin Wynns has played 33 games in Lehigh Valley for the Phillies this year, hitting .365/.504/.500 in 104 at-bats. Wynns has hit 3 HRs and has crushed 20 RBIs, while logging 38 hits and 21 runs scored. Wynns was never going to work out in Philly, with the emergence of Logan O’Hoppe, and the soon return of Rafael Marchan.
