That’s a solid pay raise for Tartt, who made $900K last season for the 49ers. Well deserved for a player who had an effective season in 2021.

Tartt’s contract is slightly higher than the veteran minimum, indicating that the Eagles have a role in mind for the 30-year-old.
The former second-round pick spent his first seven seasons with San Francisco, serving as an integral piece of their physical defense. Durability has been a concern for Tartt, but he’s a versatile deep safety when healthy and should be an ideal fit for Johnathan Gannon’s scheme.
In 80 games with the 49ers, Tartt tallied 367 tackles, 18 passes defended and four interceptions.
