Report: Concession workers at Dodger Stadium threaten to strike the 2022 All-Star Game

Concession workers at Dodger Stadium are threatening to strike the upcoming MLB All-Star Game, according to the union that represents the workers.
99% of workers at Dodgers Stadium reportedly approved the strike, and “the strike could happen at any time”, says Unite Here spokesperson Maria Hernandez.

The All-Star Game is a highlight group of days for Major League Baseball, as it includes the game, HR derby, celebrity game, futures game, and more. The concessions’ union says there are over 1,500 workers including servers, cooks, dishwashers, bartenders, and more. If this strike did happen, it would be remotely impossible for the event to happen.
They are the backbone of our tourism and sports industry, yet many struggle to stay housed and to make ends meet. They often live with economic uncertainty because the quality of jobs vary stadium to stadium. No worker should have to continue living like this.
