James Harden opened up about his relationship with Joel Embiid in recent interview with Yahoo Sports

As a Philadelphia 76ers fan, you have to love everything that you’re seeing and reading about this offseason with James Harden.
Over the last few days, we got quote after quote from Harden, mostly stemming from an interview that he did with Chris Haynes of Yahoo sports.
There have been a million questions regarding Harden’s ability to perform at a high level after a disappointing end to last season where he struggled over the final two games of the second round of the playoffs against the Miami Heat.
Last week in an interview with Haute Time, Harden talked about how he has been battling injuries over the past two seasons and is optimistic about returning to form this year.
“These last two years, I’ve been dealing with some hamstring issues, which are nothing to play with. So I’m taking this summer as an opportunity to do something for me, to make sure that I get back to the elite level that I know I can be at and that I will be at, so that’s priority No. 1. Basketball is the engine that drives everything — for us to be having this conversation, all the partners that I have, and the great things that I have going on outside of basketball — so I’ve got to make sure that’s on point.
Now, everything that has been written or said since the end of last season with Harden makes you believe that he is primed for a comeback in the 2022-23 season, with he and Joel Embiid cemented as the 76ers building blocks along with Tyrese Maxey, Tobias Harris, and newfound depth on the bench.
James Harden addressed how he has been in communication with Joel Embiid
“I talk with Joel frequently and we have meetings about how we’re going to play and what we need to do to help our team win a championship,” Harden told Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports. “When you have two of the top players at their positions on the same team, that’s a great building block.
“We’re going to grow together and try to lead this team to the top. I believe we can do it together.”
Harden also reassured everyone that the contract negotiations are still on-going and there is nothing to be concerned about, telling Chris Haynes the following:
“Well, we can’t talk yet. I would expect … actually, I don’t know. We’ll have conversations with him. As you guys have heard, it’s a mutual love fest, so we feel like we’ll work it out.”
