Nick Sirianni gives injury update on WR DeVonta Smith

Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith sat out of Thursday’s practice due to a groin injury.
Following the practice, head coach Nick Sirianni gave an update on Smith’s injury status:
Sirianni on DeVonta Smith’s groin injury: “We’re being cautious with him. We know how important he is to this organization. …They’re running a lot, he’s always at the top of the charts of who ran the most, and so, just a little bit of wear and tear there.”

Smith was briefly looked at by trainers during Tuesday’s session but returned to finish practice. He participated in stretching on Thursday, so the injury doesn’t appear to be serious. Smith is currently listed as day-to-day.
