Preview: Red-hot Phillies welcome the Marlins to CBP; Zack Wheeler on the bump at 7:05

The red-hot Phillies welcome the Miami Marlins to town for a 3-game set tonight at Citizens Bank Park. Zack Wheeler (10-5, 2.69 ERA) gets the ball for the Phils, going up against Braxton Garrett (2-5, 3.88 ERA) of Miami.

The Miami Marlins have lost four consecutive head-to-head games against the Philadelphia Phillies. They are 26-31 on the road this season and have lost seven out of their last 10 games.

The Phillies combined for 14 homers in their 4-game sweep of the Nationals, setting a franchise record and the most by a team since the Blue Jays in 2021. The Phils moved up into second place in the NL Wild Card race, passing the “power-house” San Diego Padres.
