RING IT: Realmuto and Bohm stay hot, Phillies beat the Marlins 4-1

The Phillies bats chipped away throughout the night, winining the first game of a 3-game set vs the Marlins by a final score of 4-1.
- Winning Pitcher: Zack Wheeler
- Losing Pitcher: Braxton Garrett
Zack Wheeler went 6 strong for the Phils, allowing just one earned run while striking out 8. Wheeler’s dominance at CBP was once again on display, as he currently holds the third-best home-ERA in all of baseball. Braxton Garrett went just four and two thirds, allowing eight hits and three earned runs.
After a good 1st inning from Zack Wheeler, the Marlins made a terrible error out in rightfield, putting Alec Bohm on 2nd. With two outs in the inning, the BCIB made the Marlins pay.
The Marlins would even up the game in the top of the 4th as JJ Bleday stepped to the plate.
The BCIB came to the plate once again in the bottom of the 4th and got the Phillies the lead back nice and quick. JT Realmuto is the hottest hitter in all of baseball.
The inning wasn’t done just yet. Jean Segura absolutely CRACKED one into the left-field stands, bringing the game to 3-1. Jimmy Cigs is back, baby.
Alec Bohm continued to crush any pitcher in his way, knocking in Kyle Schwarber to move the score to 4-1.
The game then went into a rain delay for a half hour, and resumed play around 10:00. David Robertson came into the game in the 8th, and Seranthony Dominguez closed it out in the top of the 9th.
Ring it. The Phillies are 61-48.
